The Rejuvenation Heat Treatment of Nickel Base Superalloy Grade GTD111 after Long-Term Service via the Taguchi Method for Optimization

This research describes an optimization and rejuvenation of the heat treatment process for a nickel base superalloy grade GTD111 after long-term service. The aging variables examined in this study included primary temperature, time, secondary time. resulting materials were using Taguchi method design experiments to determine material hardness test observed with hot tensile test, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy. experimental results showed what happens following parameters temperature 1120 °C, time 3 h, 845 24 h. material, via γ′ particle characteristics, had coarse square shape, spherical shape γ′, fine precipitate distributed on parent phase, which affects mechanical properties material.
